FuForge didn’t start as a company. It started as a habit. I’d hit the same annoying little problem every day — a screenshot that wouldn’t capture the whole page, a tab I couldn’t keep track of, a workflow that took five clicks when it should take one — and instead of just complaining, I’d build something to fix it.
Most of those tools never left my laptop. They were rough, personal, and built only for me. But every now and then one would turn out genuinely useful, and I’d think: maybe someone else could use this too. CapFu was the first one I thought was worth sharing. It’s a screenshot tool because taking screenshots shouldn’t be the hardest part of your day.
I’m not trying to build an empire. There’s no team, no investors, no roadmap deck. It’s just me, a keyboard, and the genuine belief that small, sharp tools can make someone’s day a little less friction-filled. If an app doesn’t earn its place in your browser, it doesn’t earn a place here.
So that’s the plan — keep building what I want to use, ship the ones that hold up, and see if they help you too. TrackFu is next. After that, whatever gets under my skin enough to forge.
